Fit With Friends - Deb Wolf
Fit with Friends is a mobile app game that tracks your workouts against your own and group goals, and sends updates to taunt or motivate your friends. You compete to win prizes such as gear or classes or memberships. Not only does the app promote healthy living, proceeds from Fit With Friends also go toward clinics in under resourced communities in Washington. Main revenue structure: recurring user membership fees
Florecemos - Caroline DeMitchell
The mission of Florecemos is to promote economic, environmental, and social sustainability in coffee-growing regions by empowering women and youth through education and skill development. The project is inspired in-part by the theory of asset-based community development and by the power of social enterprise, and lastly by the thought that sometimes very complex problems have simple (well, far less complex) solutions. Main revenue structure: selling artisan mugs and coffee related products that are made in coffee growing regions domestic coffee houses.
MAMI (Mothers Alliance on Mental Illness - Dinah Aldrich
Mothers Alliance on Mental Illness begins at the point when a mother learns her child has a diagnosable mental illness. The project is what we do for mothers after that moment. We provide a community in which they can learn, belong, become mentors to others and advocate for their child. MAMI’s mission is to empower mothers traumatized by mental illness with the resources to thrive and perpetuate support for others. MAMI would work toward creating accessible educational support services that foster a nurturing community for mothers affected by mental illness.Main revenue structure: membership contributions to be a part of support groups as well as sale of “Sage Stock,” directly to hospitals to supply families with comforting goods and resources upon family members being diagnosed.
